For those of you who come down from Rouen, I would suggest that you avoid the route nationale route to arrive at Le Mans and also coming off the motorway north of Le Mans at the Zone Industrielle Nord, which from memory is Junction 22 of the A28. At the beginning of the New Year work will start at the roundabout south of St Saturnin to build a tunnel under the big roundabout, and that is going to cause chaos for an estimated nine months. If on the motorway, carry on down an extra junction, and take the ring road to the circuit, or if on other roads approach the circuit and camping from the west. You have been warned!

Yes, I am using a Delorean next time. The trouble is, once you have created the title and posted you can edit the post but not the title. Put it down to dementia please. Fings ain't what they used to be. I have asked Santa for new fingers for Xmas.

Thanks for the heads-up Lowdrag. I know it's along way round but we always go west off the A28 on to the A11 then come off at junction 9 and then east to the circuit via the D326. Never any problem coming in for where we park up at EXPO.

So an extra British feel for arriving at CBW on the Friday?

Is this the roundabout on the main Le Mans ringroad, or the one at the south end of the St Saturnin by-pass?

The big roundabbout south of St Saturnin. Always busy at the best of times, and now will be a nightmare for nine months.

Thanks for the heads up, might give the CBW a miss this year.
Any other developments in the town or at the circuit that might be of interest? I don't suppose there is ever any chance they will put a footpath in between Porsche and Arnage... It would be so much better.

Sorry, I don't see that ever happening. The road is hardly wide enough in places even without a foot path. If you aren't going to St Saturnin (and I would understand why people won't this year) there is the meet at Mulsanne which is growing very substantially, and two pizzerias not far away, one on the road to Tours but by far the best near the church, and that one with a bar next door and chicken and chips etc. HTH

The Mulsanne meeting was very good last year, well worth a trip out

They could route something infield, a couple of underpasses and bingo. Clearly that is unlikely ;(

We normally get to the CBW early then head down to the Mulsanne meet which has been getting better every year.

Cheers
