By all accounts last year it was MikeN and myself, we're going to put in another attempt on the record - traditional Jimmer Le Mans hooning in the Alps, Riviera Ardennes, not back until early July. Can any one beat Sortie 10 and MikeN this year?

I'm back on July 3rd, down to the Alps for a week, including the 2 highest passes in the Alps, Col du Bonnette and Stevlio, then up to the DTM race the following Sunday at Oschersleben. Followed by visits to the Porsche factory, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche musuems, then on to Nurburgring and Spa.

Good choice Panclan. You will enjoy!

Drove Stelvio lastyear with Sortie and it was awesome. Noble didn't like it much much but it struck me as the most extreme paved road in the alps. 90+ hairpins, and there is serious elevation in each hairpin. Absolutely fan bloody tastic.

Don't forget to post pictures if you have any when you get back!

Bellissimo!

Well said MikeN, but I'd advise Panclan to get hold of the Route des Grandes Alpes map - see Reviews. For serious driving, full-on for about 300 miles you really cannot beat it. Fantastic scenery too. Disadvantage - go equipped with Sidewinder missiles to blow crawling caravans and campers off the mountains!

Thanks for the tip, I've just looked at the map online, and it looks like, by accident we are driving most of that route
