As is the BBCs 1981 film on Le Mans, with Alan de Cadenet and Guy Edwards. Search under "Tuesday Documentary"

Excellent documentary. I was watched it after it popped up in my YouTube recommendations.

Just watched the 1981 documentary on iPlayer. Great stuff.

I'd vaguely heard of de Cadenet (more Amanda than Alain I think) and Guy Edwards and, of course, knew of Derek Bell but it made me yearn for the days when there were characters in sport.

Bit of a performance by de Cadenet but he succeeded in charming when you might at first have been tempted to think he was a bit of a w****r.

Super television. You couldn't make it now.
