Friday Events

I’m sure I read somewhere that there is a support race on the Friday but also the track is open for the public to walk round etc with events being held on it? Now I can’t find what I read.

We normally do the CBW, then the small car show at Mulsanne, but this year is bit different, is that correct?

Anyone got any info or links?

On Friday 10 June 2022, on the eve of the 90th 24 Hours of Le Mans, there will be a brand-new event for fans and locals, when they will have the chance to explore the track that hosts the iconic race. Holders of a General Enclosure ticket will be able to enjoy an array of activities and visit the garages, while other key spots around the circuit (from Tertre Rouge to the Porsche Curves) will open free of charge to anyone using an eco-friendly form of transport, such as walking, cycling, a kick scooter or rollerskates.

From 14:30 to 19:30, spectators will be able to walk around one of the world’s most iconic circuits and enjoy access to the car show organised by the Virage de Mulsanne association.

ZAC Korten – Antarès (Tram terminus)
Family Village – Maine Street
Le Mans (cycle path via the Tertre Rouge corner)
Mulsanne Corner
Porsche Curves (Le Frêne roundabout)

In the afternoon in Teloché (just after mulsanne) there will be a small car event as well. There should be plenty of Porsches as this is the village where the Porsche team use to rent a garage in the 60s-80s

there are 2 races on Friday morning.

For some inexplicable reason the ACOs webpage public timetable does not match that provided to officials this week.

0930-1015 Porsche sprint challenge race 2
1110-1200 Ligier European series

The ACOs timetables don’t include Porsche racing at any time, not just Friday morning, the series website says they’ve got a race on Thursday too, that’ll explain some of the gaps in the timetable then!

There are some minor changes, but as you surmise, the gaps on the currently public timetable are filled by Porsche.
After the racing finishes Friday lunchtime, there's about an hour's worth of filler laps, H24 etc before the track has public access

Question for Team Langoustine if on here - will you have your traditional run/jog round the track this year? I guess it would have to be later than usual and fit in after the Friday morning races are finished.
