So the road that runs towards the entrance to blue Nord etc will be routed to the roundabout and in turn confuse every foreigner??

nope as i look at it....

road is bottom right, anything left of Zebra Crossing is the entrance not public road

Well this year traffic flows were completely revised with no vehicle traffic going in or out the main entrance, removing the accident waiting to happen or vehicles and spectators just inside the gate. Assuming they do the sensible thing and keep that revised flow there isn't going to be any 'no pass' traffic trying to get in and so needing to turn around.

gets rid of some random parking areas, more space for pedestrians by spectator entrances and probably works well for whole year and not just 2 or 3 days in June especially if visitors to museum are getting dropped off.

Is it a drop off point? Otherwise why 2 lanes when the roundabout is redundant

Odd, the picture the ACO have tweeted shows barriers between the road and the the snazzy new roundabout, maybe they'll be there when there's a race on and vehicular access will be allowed the rest of the time
