I have booked to go with the porsche club in 2006, it has always been an ambition of mine to go to le mans in my own porsche and so i have taken the plunge.Has anyone done this trip with the porsche club that they could share there views about and pass on any tips.I will probably travel out via the tunnel on the Thursday and come back on the Monday, although the return trip may take a detour via Germany for the world cup if the dates work out right.I am already on countdown and starting to draw up a shopping list as i havnt even camped before.

Bring ear plugs. Their camp site looks loud though someone here said they slept through it!!!

I was with PCGB this year and loved it, close to the action (it couldn't be any closer) and a good atmosphere. It was also secure which has got to be a good thing.

Hope you enjoy it and maybe I'll see you in the queue for the Friday barbie.

Yeah anniesdad, I clocked Mark's porker at the Indy meet.

That traffic looks like the queue up to the Alecon Peage. That traffic was awful. It took me nearly 10 minutes to get through it on the bike

I tell you what stood at the top of the rather steep banking watching the GT3 RSR's hitting the Porsche curves at night, being watched by any number of Porsche officianado's whilst surrounded by Porsche's of all denomination was a great, spiritual, experience.

One I won't forget in a hurry.
