Can anyone suggest the best way to watch Le Mans at home? I have Virgin Media with Sky F1 but I can’t see which other channels broadcast it (if any)

On that basis, is it better to use the app and pay to stream or are there other ways I’ve missed?

I'd recommend the FIAWEC+ app, it's about 20 euros to cover the race weekend. With that and Radio Le Mans you'll stay up to date.

I watch WEC races with the WEC app, it requires a membership in my experiance.

Trackside the network is usually to slow to stream the race.

As you're on Virgin Media you might be able to do it on the cheap because:
1. TNT Sports has the rights to WEC so should be showing Le Mans too.
2. TNT Sports is streamed on the HBO Max app.
3. On VM you can get free access to the HBO Max app.
4. Which gives you at least the primary TV feed - critically without ad breaks.

That makes it easy to watch on a phone and you should be able to get it on your TV with a Fire TV Stick/Chromecast/etc.

Had an email from the ACO 30 min. ago saying the app's been relaunched and Le Mans is €19.99 (so probably £19.99).

Hi, can you install the WEC app on a Smart TV or do you have to watch the race via a iPad/Laptop?

Re TNT, although Le Mans will probably be fine, I gather they didn't show the whole of the 6 hours at Spa

I was looking in the App Store for the Apple TV, but there is no app for that platform.

Hopefully I can airplay it from the laptop to the Apple TV, worst case use old school HDMI.

This is where F1 is so much better, sigh.

TNT will show the whole race, but with zd breaks and probably other features interrupting the race footage, you're better off watching the no ads stream on HBO max

Yea, they seemed to miss the start?!?!

Don't know if the whole race was on HBO Max but I kept swapping TV -> HBO Max on my phone as the stream didn't break for ads.

You can find places to watch it if you don't want to pay, but obviously that is up to you. But that is what I do.

I did try ACO for a year, but the app was garbage, kept freezing, not working and it runs from Jan to Dec,which I found a con, but not a surprise,I gather the new app is better. Here it's on TNT I expect, but ads are every 15 mins religiously so it's not really watchable.

A good tip is to watch onboards on YT,and you might also find the odd freestream there, but aco and TV usually close them down fairly sharpish.

If you can travel to Indonesia, you can watch on YouTube.

I'm sure I watched on TNT/ eurosport last year (I didn't watch on the app so must have done!) and there was an ad free stream somewhere as I didn't get any adverts at all.

I'd use the app but there isn't one available for the firestick and I don't want to tie up my phone/ laptop streaming to the "big TV" for the week.

I have found ad free streams yes, but they do time out after hours.

But yes not likely big enough to be on a stick.

It's confusing that the European football on TNT appeared on HBO Max on Now TV, but not the regular live channels. Does anyone know of Le Mans will go live on the HBO Max on Now TV?

Quest - channel 17 on freeview will be showing parts of the race live. Saturday coverage 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Then overnight from 10:00 pm. On Sunday coverage from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Yes, there will be adverts , but it is free to view (hate what TNT have done to UK sport watching - don’t get me started on Tour de France coverage)
