LM 2026 Race week
Discussion
Perhaps a single thread for race updates and posts from around the circuit…
Packing and prepping today, on the ferry this evening.
Particularly with the stress of ticket day, I wonder shall I skip a year, but now race week is here the excitement remains the same as ever.
Looking forward to the drive down, track action and a good dose of French food and wine away from the track. Just a great weekend with my dad and Meteo France also suggesting a dry, warm few days for us.
Everyone heading down or watching from home, have a great race week. I’ll post some pictures from around the track during the weekend.

We had our first night car camping in the Tesla on the way down last night, fairly comfy. Just watched the hyper car qualifying and saw a near crash between 2 cars right in front of us, and a Genesis I think it was went off into the dirt throwing sparks up on the other side of us.
The circuit was quiet at lunch, but got really busy into the evening. We parked at the Uni park and ride, 3.5eu to park and the tram is free for up to 4 people.
Now parked in Saint Saturin supercharger where there is a loo for tonight's car camping. And this just parked around the corner.
Arnage tomorrow, then back to the track.

Are you ‘camping’ in Tesla all weekend? The circuit was quiet at lunch, but got really busy into the evening. We parked at the Uni park and ride, 3.5eu to park and the tram is free for up to 4 people.

We slept in it Tuesday night on the way down at services, last night we found the Saint Saturin superchargers x48 and it has a loo so spent the night there. We have to leave tomorrow after the Great British Welcome unfortunately due to work. It's been good, we used 15 percent battery last night in camp mode and is comfy when you are in bed. Arnage was great today. KFos said:
Morning ferry from Portsmouth tomorrow- excitement building in our little group!
Will report on passport control progress, or lack of it, for the benefit of those travelling later.
Safe travels all.
No issues with passport control at Caen; usual checking of passports by French border control and waved through without dramaWill report on passport control progress, or lack of it, for the benefit of those travelling later.
