Just in case you do like football AND racing (like me) -

There is only one England game that interferes (unless you're away before the 11th and after the 19th) with the weekend.

England v Trinidad & Tobago Thurs. 15th

We play Paraguay on 10th (Saturday) and Sweden on 20th (Tuesday).

I'm happy with that, could have been alot worse. Just hope somebody at LeMans opens a Tent & TV night on the Thursday night!

Well in 2000 I seem to remember watching a depressing England Germany game in Euro 2000 in the MRI hospitality tent - there were a lot of footy fans there.

Anyone know if the French have digital free-to-air TV like freeview?

The Team Langoustine boys said that they will have satelite and screen at Houx Annexe to see the essential games. I know they are arriving on the wednesday.

For Euro 2004 we watched the England game beamed onto the side of the TVRCC hospitality truck.

In 2000 i remember being camped near a massive marked off area in camping Bleu occupied by ze germans. In true style they had a huge camper van complete with satellite, big tv, bbq and chairs, they invited a group of us over to watch the England versus Germany game.
We had an absoltely brilliant time along with about 20 other brits.. The usual banter ensued but it was all in very good taste...
I look forward to 2006....

Thats good news, I won't miss any of the games, were arriving on the Wednesday and we're with Team Langoustine so will be there early enough for front row seats!

I'd be amazed if there isn't a setup in Houx you could go and watch, taking the Le Mans currency of a few beer bottles to gain you entrance.

I recall for the Euro thingy the Mid Essex posse had a big screen and satellite dish.

Could be making this up but I think they had a big screen/prjector running at the cafe/shack in Houx, showing the Grand Prix on the Sunday afternoon.

Woody, for the last football thing two years back there were at least three screens in Houx, so just wander along with a few extra beers and I'm sure you'll be able to squeeze in.

The only problem if the game is on the Thursday is you getting there in time, you'll have to persuade the Dave's to drive in a less limp-wristed manner

I remember this too. We did not bother as it looked to be an antique version of an ordinary sized set. I think he had the cheek to charge for it as well!

Can't see any mention of kick-off time,,anyone know?
On the 10 am Thursday Ferry to Calais ,so may not make it in time.

Watched the Eng v France game a few years ago in the bar near the campsites, talk about packed to the rafters! Most I managed to see was about 50% of the tiny TV....
