Nothing has been announced about the Audi R10 programme other than they will be at Sebring and LM, with only Tom Kristensen named thus far as a driver.
I'd be surprised if there weren't 2 works entries at LM (or indeed at Sebring) with the drivers from the usual list of suspects (Nishie, Dindo, Frankie B etc.)
The more interesting question, for me anyway, is what will Porsche do with their new RS Spyder in Europe in 2006....

Audi.
Does anyone know how many cars they are entering? If its 3 I wouldn't bet against them locking out the podium....
It's a shame there's no real works competition for them. I can’t help viewing the Audi R8 in the same light as the Peugeot 905´s at the end of the group C era. It's not quite the same when just one manufacturer comes along with a massive budget and wipes the floor with all the privateers.t1grm said:Definitely agree there, its great seeing a number of big companies fighting it out, but when its just Audi using their multi-million dollar advantage to get themselves good PR year on year (which to be fair they do deserve), the magic is lost a bit.

Really wanted Pescarolo to win last year, much as I like some of the Audi drivers, the teams are a little faceless, unlike Henri!
But the beauty of Le Mans is, if LMP1 doesn't float it for you, you've three other classes and the inter-class rivalry - or the funfair if that doesn't float it for you

All a bit harsh on Audi if you ask me - there hasn't been a works team for what, 3/4 years (pre Bentley) and the car hasn't recieved THAT much development. Trouble is it's one darn good car and there haven't been any other major makers willing to spend the money to challenge them.
And I REALLY have to take issue with someone supporting Perky-rolo. 1) They are French. 2) They ALWAYS break down. 3) They are French. I mean, the locals can be smug and arragent as it is. Can you imaging HOW smug and arragent they would be if they actually won LE Mans?!?
Personally I'm going for one of the smaller teams/manufacturers - Zytek.
