We are off back to Le Mans again this year and I read somewhere that they are making most campsites a 'layby' and so there will be no showers. I can't really believe this as it just wouldnt be heathly and we are planning to go back to Karting Nord as we did last year
Can some people just tell me that this is wrong!
Cheers,
Dan.

According to the information on the lemans.org website, most of the campsites do have showers.
The only that don't are:
Interieur Musee
Expo
Bleu Sud
Technoparc
Mulsanne
Arnage
It does say that Karting Nord has showers, but I hope you already have confirmation for Karting Nord, as when I spoke to the ACO earlier this week, only Beausejour was available.

It's only a few days, take an extra can of deodorant and a fly swatter

Looking at the map on the ACO site it certainly looks as if all the campsites are now designated as laybys, but most were anyway. My guess is that this has to do with the increasing standards that the French bureaucracy demands of "proper" campsites and not an indication of a reduction in standards of the actual sites.
