Last year was my 1st at Le Mans and it was awesome! I cannot wait for LM06. What I'd like to find out is will you still be able to turn up at Parking Blue and get tickets this year? You could last year and no doubt the year before that too.

Am leaving early on Wednesday morning and staying over night somewhere near LM then driving to the circuit on Thursday.

Any advise/help appreciated.

Cheers

Think so, you have always been able to, just have to put up with out any bogs or showers, they have extended the Blue camping into Blue Nord (basically some of the area between Camping Blue sud and the Airport), there are passes still avalible from the ACO.

Camping blue and parking blue are different things.
Parking blue and entry tickets can be bought on the day.

The answer is YES... if you turn up early enough.

I have seen them overfill it so they turn away people who not only have tickets, they bought them 6 months earlier! Its a bit of a free-for-all.

Assuming you're talking about camping rather than just parking, I think you might want to be a bit more careful this year.

The ACO have been flogging Camping Blue Nord for all its worth this year, as an alternative to some of the more established sites whereas in previous years it's been a bit of an unknown and which has enabled people to just turn up, pay the camping supplement and camp.

It might work out the same this year but I know a number of people who usually go for Blue have bought tickets in advance rather than take the risk that things might have change for this year!

I was told a long time ago that the fields don't actually belong to the ACO they just rent them for the week? Is that right?

I'd imagine that's quite likely. Silverstone rent a field for the marshals campsite for the GP, I wouldn't think it's unusual at all.
