Yeah with a bit of luck, hoping to find some english people along the way to travel down with anyway.

What road you taking? The new spangled motorway or the old faithful N138 or is it D138?

Not really looked at the route as yet, we usually go through Rouen and stop of there for lunch but may be tempted by the new road! I like to include some N roads(more fun) but Rouen can be a nightmare. Does the bypass miss the town out completely?
We'll maybe see you on route

I've just spotted the new road thread which answers my question (lunch in Rouen then) and i suspect we'll take good the old route!

May join you my friend! Doubt I'll be able to keep up with you though!

How much longer do you reckon it will take on that road?

Nonsence ,i've heard all about your clio,!! besides we only run at a gentle pace unless there are any Vettes or Porches around.or lotuses, cobras, ferraris, mercs, bm's, jags, morgans, Astons etc etc(get the picture?)
Using the old roads we usually arrive in LeMans 6.00pm ish depending on length of pit stops.
You may well catch us at rouen, (You should spot 1/2 a VW beetle on a wall opposite resteraunt). We then stop at gasse'. Super little town .
Will be pleased to meet and share a shandy.
Dave.

I've Just realised PB that you will be 2hrs behind us due to the difference between your snail paced ferry and our lightening train, so i guess we'll have to catch up at LM. Sure that there will be loads of exotica on the roads to play with.
And you're correct, RX8's drink like irishmen on paddys day.

Fair enough, I got a bit muddled.

Doesn't look like anyone is going on this god damned ferry so will have to find a bunch of people en-route.

Sounds like a plan, just depends how long it takes to get the camp site sorted. we're in M Blanche, not sure where the Tetre rouge bar is in relation. Usually try to make freinds with new nieghbours and then drink their cold beer if poss.
I'm sure the roads will be full with nice motors on the way down, All with a common aim [kind of like a motoring Woodstock] you are to young to know, infact so am i.

Is this the Norfolk Line Dover to Dunkerque ferry? If yes then we are on it too saling at 10am on the Thursday... Elise followed by a Focus acting as support vehicle...

Never done this route before as have always gone to Calais... is it much further? I was just soooo tempted by the price

Be cool to travel down in a convoy!!!!!! Anyone on here doing the Scumball3000 race next month?
