I know there has been threads discussing this before, but none of them include the things I think I've forgotten to include in my packing list! When we were there last year, there were a number of unexpected things that we wanted or needed that weren't obvious. Can anyone think of anything that you take apart from standard camping gear?

Also take a copy of your driving licence not the real thing, as if you get caught speeding and it gets taken from you, its an absolute knightmare to get back apparently.

Earplugs and one of those sleeping masks you get free on flights. Make trying to sleep off a hangover that little bit easier!!!!!

Logbook, insurance and a spare bulb kit, all mandatory for driving in France.

Sunblock, lots of water - don't be a dickhead - drink plenty of water if it's as hot as last year. Can't remember if it's been mentioned but pocket radio with headphones so you can listen to Radio Le Mans. Ear Defenders if you've got sensitive ears (they also mean you can hear the radio if you wear earphones underneath them!)

Earplugs so that you can get some sleep during the week (I'm a girl OK and we're there for a full week!!!)

I found Airbed very useful ,and also some string & sticks to mark your area can be useful too, for 'un-allocated pitch' campsites

So are a warning triangle and fire extinguisher and soon a reflective or high vis jacket.

Argos do a great metal frame camp bed. No punctures, no pumping and it's not sweaty vinyl or plastic. Surprisingly comfortable too.

CostCo did them last year at a decent price, most of the UK based online sellers seemed to be taking the p!ss with the price (compared to the USA list price).

I'm not sure the 5-day ice claim is that good, but it seemed a lot better than a normal cool box.
