hi chris, who cares how far it is (ive not even checked tbh) but if you need to be back for tuesday, i doubt you will get much "ring action" in.
taking into account we will leave france monday get to the ring before late afternoon (depending on how many stops nervy makes us wait for him on) id say tuesday is the day we actually get "ring time" (and im not talking the same type of "ring time" nervy has in mind with the strippers)
get some more time off, will be a blast, we'll be there all week.

will probably take most of Monday to get there and I know I'll be fed up of driving to do a lap in the afternoon, will be more interested in

It's about a 6 hour run depending on traffic around Paris.
Riems is almost exactly half way so that makes a nice stop off point for lunch and have a look at what's left of the old race track there.
650 miles.
Looked into this as I have VIP passes for one of the teams that is racing and wanted to head over for the 24 hour race over the same weekend as LM as I've already paid for my LM tickets.
Wed to Fri LM Fri night drive over and watch races on Sat from the ring.
Not going to happen though. Will spend my time at LM I think.

I won't be going. But from the LM circuit entrance to Ring car park it is about 440 miles and should take 6.5 to 7 hours(without stops/ delays. But that route skims Paris and that can be a nightmare.

Yes we are heading there for public lapping on the Sunday if all goes well. Planning to take a mix of fun small roads and bit of motorway to the ring. Got a route that looks better than heading through paris, but this will depend on if anyone has any other knowledge of good roads in france.
At present cars going:-
Alfa GTV V6,
Mazda RX7
WRX
MR2
and a german hire car - hopefully a RWD BMW or simliar !
