A group of 4 of us are going to Le Mans this year (2 for the first time), we are going up on the thursday so we can nick the best spots in the camp site so we have that covered.

The problem we have is:

We are going in an Exige + 360 modena + 4 people = No luggage space.

We are taking the essentials, tent, sleeping bags and paddling pool. What other essentials should we take bearing in mind the complete lack of space we have?

Trying to get the guys to plaster the cars in some decals so if you spot a silver exige or a black 360, come across and say hello.

Pro Plus, there is a thread on here called "stuff to take", might be a couple of pages in but you'll find it, if your anywhere near henley/reading area you can stick your stuff in my sprinter which one of our bunch is driving down, loads of room, we're even taking two two seater leather sofas

Im reliably informed that if all else fails, you can turn up with your tickets and a credit card and buy all you need from the local supermarket (Carrefour(sp?)?)

As said before there are lists all over the forum about what to take with you but for those who are tight on space/have altzimers the must have list is simple:

Passport

Car + docs (insurance certificate, MOT (if required), V5, Driving licence (originals and 1 photocopy of all of these) + bulb kit, triangle and (some say) high viz vest.

Camping/entrance tickets

Credit card with at least £1,500 let before the limit. (speeding fines and essentials)

I love the photo's in the week after the event where you all this gear strewn across peoples drive ways, and they still manage to get it into the boot of an Elise. My brother managed to load his Elise up when he went, tent, sleeping bags, it all goes in. Mind you, you need a support vehicle, like we seem to have...............

How the hell did you manage that? I've seen the luggage space in a VX! Did you use some kind of dehydration device?

We're the kings of packing. Don't forget that the boot goes right up to the sides of the car. We put some stuff behind the seats, the chairs went stacked along the 'shelf' bit inside the door, between the door and the passenger. We sat on pillows, put drinks under the seats, a few bits went in the passenger footwell etc. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Sort of, last year it was just the two of us in the VX with a small 3 man tent. This year it's the two of us, plus friends in a Volvo C70 T5, so we've got loads of boot space, mainly for our massive tent:

Bear in mind that they guy next to it is 6'2"

That's not a tent, it's a fg country house - it even has a servants' wing, a garage and an indoor pool!

Round these parts you'd need planning permission for that.
