Just a little note to those with Tivs using the Norfolkline en route to LM this year. Trinitycall and I used Norfolkline for a trip this past weekend and we both experienced problems with de-activating the alarm/immobiliser system via the key fob. In my case I cleared the alarm, but since I didn't start the car immediately, the immobiliser cut back in. I could then only clear the immobiliser via the push in tag. I suspect the new ships in the fleet may have some kind of radio shielding, since I had no other problems with the key fob all weekend.

Hope that helps,
Steve.

Any idea if it will affect other cars?

something else to add here.

If your car has motion sensors or a tracker make sure they're deactivated. Got a text to my phone from tracker a couple of years back notifying me that my M3 had been moved when in fact it was locked away in the hold and blocked in by 400 other vehicles.

I now just lock the doors rather then set the alarm and risk it going off all night and causing problems come time to disembark.

Just my 2pp

My stupid french car only has one door lock, on the passenger side, and guess what? It only locks the passenger door!

Will have to read the manual on how to do it. Or just let the alarm go off. Theres always one, so it may as well be me!
