Drought order concern for Le Mans
Discussion
With certain areas of the country being threatened with imminent drought orders. In other words NO car washing . Has anyone got any bright ideas on how clean a car prior to covering with Le Mans stickers? I know some of my neighbours would report me instantly!

4. the operation of mechanical vehicle washers, whether automatic or not, with the exception of those which recycle water and as a consequence use less than 23 litres of mains water per vehicle;
5. the washing by hosepipe, sprinkler or other similar apparatus, of road vehicles boats, railway rolling stock or aircraft for any reason other than safety or hygiene

I'll just wash the bit where the sticker goes. Whether it's warm or raining the car will be in a state when I get there anyway...
Ditto to that!! Every year without exception the Venom leaves home looking a million dollors and arrives at the camp site looking like a pile of poo! Won`t be loosing any sleep over not washing it before Le-Mans!

Im sure the car washes in northan France are all functional, I'd try washing it as you arrive in France and stickering it up there. Failing that you could employ a North American Indian to do a rain dance, lol. But I think the France option is easyer.

Move to an area without a drought problem for the weekend before to preare the car
AFAIK Yorkshire is not under threat yet but that may change in the next 5 weeks.Drought! What drought!!!
Left London a 15.30 to ride to Cadwell Park and it pissed down for the majority of the journey. Dry tack day today, bliss! Rained all the way from Huntingdon to SW London.
I should give my leathers to Thames Water they could get a few gallons out of them.
I cleaned the bike on Sunday, should not have bothered.
