Spare Seat in an Ultima Going to Le mans 2006

Hi,

I have a spare seat in my Ultima GTR for someone wishing for a lift to Le Mans.
Leaving the Cambridge area 09.30 (Tunnel at 12.00) on Thursday 15 June, Leaving Le Mans at 11.30 on Sunday the 18th. (Yes I know I will miss the end of the race, work comittments)

Pay half the tunnel, payage and petrol costs. Can collect you / meet you somewhere. Can be one way or both ways.

Was a last minute decision to go in the GTR and dropped my lift for my car. Anyone interested post a reply

Now that sounds like a fun way to get to Le Mans. I'm sure you will get somebody biting your hand off for the chance to do the trip with you. Your crossing is a very similar time to our groups. I will keep my eyes (and ears) peeled!!!

I am sure that you will see us. There are 23 of us going, though this time not all in one convoy. Come on over and have a chat if you see us at the tunnel.

Doesn't get you half the tunnel but might be an answer, and as he hints, it might prove handy to have a french speaker in the car should you have probs with the Gendarmes as well.

I'm actually on the ferry but land at calais at a similar time so may well see you en route. Are you going via Rouen? Those tunnels would be a giggle with 23 Ultimas!!!!

I wish it was 23 Ultima's. I will be the only one with a number of other cars. we are also not all going at the same time. Maybe wee you on route.

...what colour is your Ultima? I will keep my eyes peeled. I'm in a silver 996....so should be easy to spot

Apologies for the "wee you on route" had an anorexic moment. As for the colour it is white with twin blue viper stripes.

The Ultima GTR is one of my favorite car !

If the cost is approx 60€, there is no problem, I could be at the Euro Tunnel Exit (at the gas station)

I'm going to Le Mans from Cambridge on the Thursday too. I'd love a ride in an Ultima, but will be taking my new toy - my Porsche 968. I guess you might be very tight on luggage space - can I help you by transporting anything for you in return for a ride (either there or around the Cambs area)?

That's a very kind offer, though I think that I will be Ok as we are taking a support van and alot of the kit is going with the van. However I am sure that sometime over the summer I could spot you ride in the Ultima.

I'll be going from the Cambs (well suffolk via camb) area but a day earlier!

Might it have been you I saw turning off the M11 heading north, onto the A14 towards Newmarket about 8:15 a couple of Friday morning's ago? If so, that was the day before I got my car, so I got all excited to see another 968 about!
