I have just returned from a fortnight in France, and the magnetic appeal of the Sarthe Circuit pulled me many miles off course. I just had to blast down the Mulsanne and to Indy!
Some "intelligence" PH'ers may find of use:
1. The circuit from Indianapolis to Arnage (and on towards the Porsche Curves) has been resurfaced in fresh tarmac; this may mean that the oil in the tarmac may be drawn through, making for some "interesting" viewing if wet. Similarly, when you are hooning take it steady - unless you want a visit to the kitty litter.
2. The filling station in Guecelard, on the N23(?) 4 miles south of Arnage is now shut permanently. This was a haunt of Club Motorsport campers, and those staying towards La Fleche. Make sure you have "fully gassed-up" before arriving, if you are staying in this neck of the woods.
Hope this is of use.
