Well, this is going to be my first ever trip to Le Mans!

I'm taking my 11 and 8 year old sons and a friend of mine. We booked the ferry and campsite months ago. Arriving on the Wednesday and camping at Chanteloup.

I was told we didn't need to buy the actual circuit tickets until we get there...please (please!) tell that's right!?...And how do we go about doing that?

I'm going to read through some of the other threads for other tips...but no doubt will be back for more advice!

Looking forward to seeing PH'ers there!

Seriously now, they have booths at the entrances and spread around by the campsites and car parks, where they sell tickets.
At least I sure hope they still do cos i'm getting my tickets then too!

Phew!...Thanks guys!

I was already half rehearsing my lines explaining to my two boys why they'd travelled so far, camped for three days before the race only to not be able to get in!

Hi Derin,

Don't worry - I'm new too, and the one thing people have said consistently is that tickets are always on sale at the door, like any circuit here......although funnily enough I have some now anyway as part of a package!

If you're worried about getting them there's loads for sale on Ebay...

There really is no need to buy any before hand. People selling them before hand are typically trying to play on the fears of newbies. And they put them as parts of packages so they can charge a mark-up on them (or so their total mark up looks to be on more things).

This is my 9th year in a row, and I can 100 guarantee they're on sale at the gates. 100,000's of Freichies turn up for the day(s) and all buy tickets when they rock up.

If there's some for sale on ebay below face value because someone can't make it, then perhaps worth a look, but by the time you've waited for them to turn up and paid postage I don't believe it'll be worth it.

Thanks guys.

How much will the tickets be on the day? I'm paying for 2 adults and two kids (don't know if kids tickets are any cheaper?).

Adult tickets on the gate are 60 Euros and kids get in for free if born after 19th June 1990.
So it looks like 120 Euros all in.
