Ideas for killing time on Monday after the race
Discussion
OK, I've arranged my trip at the last minute, bagged a couple of spare spaces on someone's campsite. Booked up with Speedferries but there were only a couple of return crossings available. Either early in the day (8ish) or 23:45. So being realistic (and wanting to enjoy the post-race atmosphere), decided to book the near-midnight crossing.
So...I'm trying to organise a lazy route back for me and a mate. Have a couple of ideas so far...have a quick look round the old Rouen-Les-Essarts site (sadly not much to see there now I'm led to believe but worth a quick look I reckon), lunch somewhere interesting (not sure yet), pop into Abbeville and meet up with some Lotus guys doing a trackday. Then I'm left with late afternoon to evening to plan. A bit of beer shopping and a spot of dinner will go in there somewhere but if anyone's got some good suggestions (including alternatives to the above), I'd be grateful to hear them.
Also, for the veterans out there, what would you put as a realistic (ie: discrete) time for getting from a) Le Mans to Rouen and b) Rouen to Boulogne?
Cheers
