Hi

Being le mans first timers, me and my mate will be going dover > calais, then we are into the unknown.

From calais which is the best way to go. I wont be going fast (going in an old volvo) so just after the easiest route. Last thing i want is to get lost!

Cheers all
James

The question is would you like a scenic/slower route or the faster one?

The scenic route would let you see some of the french countryside and allow a lesurely stop for lunch (usually only 10E) on the way.

You can either take the toll road or go senic route.

The quickest and easiest route will be to go on the Autoroute all the way.

Is the A28 Autoroute open all the way? everytime I try and do a route planner it directs me around it. using the N138.
I don't think the N138 will have the same appeal in a camper van! Compared to the my M5 in the middle of the night last year. Now that was one of the most fun and fastest drives of my life

I thought cameras in Europe arent a problem? Thought it was just the nice Gendarmes stopping and fining you was the problem?
