What beauties have you got planned for the camp site? I suppose this only really concerns those on Houx Annexe.
Where'd you get supplies from and how much did you spend?
I got some from Sainos from November last year. 9 Rockets and 1 big one to finish off with. I suspect it will be nothing compared to other people though.

Sorry to join on the bandwagon here but our tent got hit last year too, as did our neighbours brand new TT (knackered window and paintwork). We were just working out if we had enough people to roll the perpetrators camper van on it's side when he decided to settle in cash. Not sure how teh TT driver got on in the end.
Love to see the fireworks but please keep them away form the cars and tents.

got to agree, last after a few
on of our rockets went a little astray and just missed some tents and landed the road could have been very nasty so be very carefull with them make shure they are pointing in the right direction and fired from a safe distance plus the cake types should be taped to a stake so they don,t fall over.
have fun and be safe with them.

Ok guys on a safety side why don't you try shells. They burst just like rockets and the only fallout is basically paper confetti, no sticks here. Last year we aquired a quantity of 2" shells whilst in Rouen they also came with their own mortar tube (which you bury two thirds in the ground, and is re-usable). The end result a decent show with practically no injuries except for one linen shirt that got too close to the fire. Oh just one last thing, DONT STAND OVER THE TUBE ONCE LIT!
I know this bloke who does professional displays - just picked up £900 worth of display quality fireworks last week. Have learnt from previous years though...
(1) spread them out across plenty of cars to transport them down - 3 years ago, a mate in his pimped up alpina had most of the bangers in his excessive boot. Customs in Dover liked his car too, stopped him for a search and confiscated everything. Well, they had a smile on their faces...
(2) dig them in - 2 years ago, one particularly large cake flipped on its side and started spinning, firing mortars at about a height of 1 metre. A few holes in our tents, but nobody hurt (thank god)
reckon we might just set them off on friday night at the roundabout this year....should be fun after 30 beers...

Last year (in Beausejour) a rocket travelling just above ground level hit my tent ripping the porch - I'm just glad it didn't get wegded anywhere and I wasn't in the tent at the time.
I don't want to spoil anyones fun but please, please be careful and ensure fireworks are kept well away from tents.
Have a great week
Tim

. If that happens next to tents it could be messy...
