So much misinformation on this. Any clear definitive answer would be welcome.

No.

However Tony "Scunthorpe" Bliar has signed the UK up to future legislation that will allow cross boarder dishing out of points. So they will be able to one day.

No.

They can give you a max fine of 750EUROs or ban you for say 15days but they cant give you uk points.

Make sure you have the cash for the fine before pushing double and especially treble figures

It works the other way in France anyway, you start at 12 points and they take them off. They can't take yours off if you don't have any!

It would be great if they could take them off. We'd all leave UK with points and get back to Blighty with a nice clean license!
