Hey dude. This is a message from your co-driver. I don't know what happened on the way down, but I wish I'd been in the seat where I was due to be sat! At least the illness is getting better now, but it is gutting watching on TV when I should be there. Hope you are enjoying it and have lots of cool stories and photos to show next week

In the absence of any hard factual information, I think it appropriate to speculate.

He agreed to let minimax drive for a bit, within a few short miles Tom had broken the car, so they started to walk and thumb a lift. A new Rolls Royce Phantom stopped by, but it was full of Hawaiiian Tropic girls and there was only room for one passenger, at which point Tom jumped into the car without a moments hesitation and said 'later Dude' to Robert as they sped off. The girls asked 'what was going to happen to his freind?' and Tom replied "Your Mum!".

From what I've heard he was caught doing 130, fined £750 and a 2 week ban
Minimax had to drive it from the cop shop!

Ouch!

Does this mean that minimax has driven a car that didn't break under him .

Fecker! So that means that had I not been ill, it'd have been me driving the Clio from the cop shop! Ah well there's always next year
Ouch if it is a fine Rob, good to see Tom's driving style rubbing off

Maybe it was 750 euros actually, not sure. Either way it's a lot of money.

Hope he's going to be sensible and make Tom drive until he gets to the UK (thats a strange sentence!!)

Well it's either that or risk getting the car impounded and being thrown in prison!

Hehe that is true. Just received a text from the man himself. Mr 'Bert was stopped at 130mph, lost his licence and was relieved of 750 Euros by the Gendarmerie! Nice going Rob

I got a worried call from my wife after I drove down to Le Mans on the Friday morning. She'd heard on the radio that a brit had been caught at 280 kph (around 170 mph) in a 911 and was worried that it was me! Can't find any report in the french papers about it, but I imagine that he will have seen the inside of a cell for a spell and received an eye-watering reaming without KY. Any PHers hear about this?

Although PolarBert, take solace in 2 chaps in a RUF 911 that we met, they were drowning thier sorrows after being stung for some 1,500 euro and a licence gone (think he said he was given a 2 year ban in France too, was a bit "road weary" myself then)

what were they doing ... slowing down from a high speed burn ... they were radar'ed decelerating at 250KPH!!!!!

think they just kept the car by begging
