Dunlop Chicane, the sound is awesome (apart from the Audis, how can they call that a racing car when it's so quiet)

I stood behind the Aston Martin supporters at the Porche Curves. The first Aston that went out crashed and stopped about 30 feet away, right in front of the Aston boys and us. The driver knew the Aston boys where there and refused to look in our direction.

Porsche curves - you see them coming down a nice straight section, then braking hard and dicing with each other before blatting away. Splendid stuff - will see if any of the photos on my camera were worth the bother tonight...

Stand 15, back row (N), seat 53 Right opposite the screen as well, so that + Radio Le Mans meant keeping up with the first hour and a half pretty well.

Unfortunately the sun then dipped far enough down to come in the BACK of the stand and start pounding on the old neck. So back to the bar

Don't worry, by the looks of the pic from the Aston pit, you would have seen more of the start than blakbetti

View of cars streaming through soon after start - was standing on the brambles to get beyond the catch fencing.

Sommer grandstand, although we were in the exact same place as you a few hours earlier Seems it's all to easy to get access to the Aston pit

Aston Pit was easy to get to, if you went up to the second floor of the grandstand, through one of the hospitality rooms and back down the stairs on the other side, there was no security and you could get straight in

Being a bit of a short-ar*e meant I didn't get to see any of the start at the track last year (heard it just fine but that's not quite the same).

So this year we watched on the screen at Speedchills in Beausajour with a cold drink in hand and no-one blocking my view
