I think it always grinds to a halt due to some paticipants taking longer to get round than others (Hmm, Corvettes v marching clowns).

I claim the prize for being the only car in the parade stickered up with PH stickers

You got the big cheer from us at the Corner bar after the first straight section. We were on the other side to the rowdy drunk Danes!!!

Was yours the vette with the American flag on the bonnet and "drive it like you stole it" on the plate? If so I think we were stalking you over the weekend, saw your car a fair few times - were you also the guy that came upto the three TVRs outside Mont St. Michael? I was the passenger with the loud Griff.

Nice car!

Sorry to hear that, was just having a look at the pics and your profile at the sametime and realised it wasn't your car (hope you didn't get too big a fine!)

90 euros. 168 km/h on motorway... Could have been much worse given the speeds I was doing the rest of the time

I think whatever prize you've claimed needs to be split with me then!!! I'd got various PH, Team Langoustine and Beermountain adorned to the side of my 78 Pace Car.

I claim outright prize for being the only car to rip the red carpet on the podium though!!

Cheers guys - that was me on the parade, and doing a lap of the circuit before the race and also at Mont St Michael.

Good to have a bit of banter with you TVR guys - I take it you made it home!!! Blimey, that Griff was loud.

Stole your idea of taking photos with the Mont in the background - got some nice shots

The funny thing was James's griff wasn't that loud in the car, but even the other TVRs has to stay way back from us or they found it painful, made it home fine thanks.

The photo idea was done last year with more cars - looked even better!

sorry, didn't get one of you 1978...

Mark Busby gave it a nice loud rev & wheelspin when requested to - the rest of the 'vettes went around the corner past us like church mice....

A quality picture of my car there (Pace Car above), nice one!! Any chance of sending me a copy? I'm framing the signed 'Parade des Pilot' board they gave us and want a few pics to add in with it.

Just a note that I was the driver (Phil Bennett), think you need to update the website notes there. Mark Busby was the co-driver and did a sterling job of keeping me supplied with Hamlets for the entire parade.

Wondered why we got a funny look when I yelled "Mark Busby - rev-it!!"

Mail me through profile (or e-mail address on website) for a copy....
