I never got caught once, I'll have you know.

Came bloody close though

I rounded a corner at about 80 mph on the way back from the supermarche (nice use of the old local lingo there) only to be gesticulated at wildly by what I think was two Brits. Wailed on the anchors, rounded the next bend and found a gendarme position waiting for me. Slowed down just in the nick.

To whoever that was, thanks! I owe you a beer.

Oh and sideways out of MB past 3 gendarmes was about as lairy as I got I'm afraid. Must try harder next time.

Nice to meet you too, the stickers went down very well in the whole spirit of Le Mans! Still got them on the car, can't bring myself to take them off.

Yup the stickers were great, when we ordered them and it came to £50ish for each car I nearly had a heart attack but it was SO worth it in the end! The number of smiles, waves and s we had was great.

Not gonna take my stickers off for a while either - the car is gonna look so dull without! A mate of mine came over the night we got back and is going on hols for 3 wks - I'm under instruction not to take the stickers off because he wants to go out in the car with them on when he gets back :lol:

Thanks for the good comments about the car- I couldn't believe how many people stopped me to ask about it. Had a 1.5 lepton blat with a 550 Fezza who didn't SEEM to be able to lose me which was VERY fun and surprising! Also was considerably pulling away from a 300bhp Lancia Integrale who I met again on Fri at Arnage.

All the blood sweat and tears over that car were made worth it last weekend
