How do you post a picture?

Hi,
Just put [pic] www.website/picture.jpg [/pic]

Which might be like this :
[pic] www.saabphotos.com/gallery/albums/album141/DSCN2946.sized.jpg [/pic]

but get rid of the space between [pic] and the rest of the address. So it looks like this...



You'll need to host the photo(s) somewhere like photobucket etc.

I use website www.tinypic.com to store my pictures for posting on PH

Fill in the ‘Upload’ box with your file – use the ‘Browse’ button to search your harddrive, it works a treat. Click ‘Upload Image’ when you are ready.

When you’ve finished uploading, the bottom of the screen will be filled in with a small version of the picture you posted, and the three 'link' fields HTML , [IMG] , Link will be filled in.
Highlight and copy the middle of the three link fields which is marked [IMG]. Copy everything in that box.

Then go to PistonHeads, start your thread and type away. When you are ready to put the picture in, paste the link data you just copied. Lastly, change [IMG] at both ends of the pasted link, replacing IMG with PIC (leave the square brackets). Robs yer dads brother !

One other thing I also do is click on the ‘email me this link’ thingy and get it to email the details to me. I then file all TinyPic emails away just in case I need to look anything up.

[img] works just fine in PH, no need to change to [pic]
