I was a le mans virgin until this year, best few days of my life, just wondered who was at the crazy roundabout on the friday night?

I was stood on top of the what i think was a big metal container. The police shifted us after a while but it was amazing, the nissan primera that smoked its tyres out was pretty cool. The s2000 driver was great fun and some of the tvr drivers really put their foot down. Did get a little worried at some times when it looked like people couldnt control their cars at those speeds round the bends!! It was awesome, still buzzing!

I've already booked my tickets for next year but by the looks of things i should hang around arnage and mulsanne on the friday night, any tips for next year??

Woza.

first time i found the roundabout this year, ok, so it was the first time i looked!

have to admit to being pretty disapointed, the only people i saw before leaving either had wrong wheel drive cars, cars that have too much grip to drift or couldn't drift.

i've since seen some decent vids on here, but have to admit to leaving in disgust thinking someone was bound to get hurt with the level of driving on show.

i will investigate next year, if its just a bunch of wannabe's in hire clio's again then i wont be going back.

Not trying to put to much of a downer on things but 'certain mad antics' indulged by LeMans exponents has dissuaded me from attending next year (and maybe even forever!). It is not so much the mad hooning and laying rubber that is getting me down but the drunken fools at the roundabouts and such firing water cannons into cars with their windows open as they pass. I like a laugh but am not pleased when put in a situation where I am powerless to respond, be it with a witty retort or if need be, a clenched fist. I am going to wait until 2008 for the Classic, I will also feel better about taking my beloved Ultima there and can enjoy an altogether more dignified event (or at least, so I am led to believe).

Seems a bit of a shame not to go if you want to? The roundabout is a highlight for some, for others it's just avoided. I ended up getting lost coming back from the parade this year in the Corvette and went through the roundabout about 11pm. Took a few times round to work out where the exits were but no harm done. If you don't want to get involved then just avoid it. Where we stayed in HA this year we had no idiots with super soakers full of "stuff" and the roundabout can just be avoided. Get yourself booked.

The Ultima would be fine - the Mosler M900 in HA this year got a lot of interest, but all from about 3ft away. No troubles.

yes

Houx roundabout was absolute maddness this year - put the roof on and windows up in the Tuscan. Got quite worried when a I spotted a huge group of what looked like chavs chucking beer into Burnie's car - to$$ers!

Still I'll no doubt pay it another visit next year, did anyone find out what happened to the guy who fell out of the Yellow Saab convertible? Ouch! headache

We've moved site again for the 3rd year runnning and got places on Karting Nord for 2007. This allows for access from the Beausejour road so no need for us to go through the carnage again - unless we get lost of course.

If anyone poured beer in the Vette there'd be one hell of a "to do"!

Keep going to the roundabout and if you see some chavs pouring beer and opening car door, then just remind them how much the cars are worth to the people driving them!!We do need to stop that type of shit!!

having said that i had a great time and ill go again!but not in the S as the respect for a nerly new car was poor!

yeah i was there last year, well for the last three years actually, there does seem to be a rather large contingent of tossers coming up and spoiling the fun (oh and the bib)i i were to take my car up there and someone did something to my car there would be hell, only i can damage MY car, this does include using tossers like some of the ones at the roundabout as speed humps!! but ill b there again nxt year and i may even drive down there, jus need to find a fun car!!!
