Extended LM Village Opening
Discussion
From memory of Last year's LM, I was sure that when we arrived on Thursday, Most of the village bars etc wasn't even open until nearer the weekend.
However , this year , it was all in full flow !
Even the bar in Houx was fully stocked with the required amber nectar!
Have the ACO finally realised that people are getting there Days before the weekend, or was it a one-off due to the 100 year ACO celebrations?

I thought the village was much improved this year when compared to last year. Was also suprised to see things closing/show cars put away overnight on Saturday as there were easily as many people wandering around as you see during some day time events in the UK. The waffle shop was still open at 2am though

Yep, thought the expansion of seating areas in the bars was good, apart from the endless problems of beer pumps always breaking down in the hottest part of the day!
The reply ealier about badly lit walking areas, reminds me of a 'foolhardy' midnight marathon walk to Arnage corner...Was very lucky to avoid the 'Shin shredders' & 'Ankle snapping ' drainage holes on the way !
They still do the very bazzar thing of everything shutting before the back wheels of the winning car have crossed the line.
If they kept things open in the village a little longer:
- the trafic would be more spaced out and freeer flowing.
- I could actually get around to buying something.
- they would make more money.
That said they ARE French and the cafe in Houx still seemed confused when people ask for ice. If they sold bags of ice, or even did an ice-pack freezing service they wuld make a killing.

Just wish that something would have stayed open after 18:00 on Sunday - seemed as soon as the cars stopped rolling everything was closed, packed and vanished. Place was a complete ghost town by 20:00 (when we were looking for anything to eat)...
That's why we had to stock up on the bbq scoff, beer & snacks for the Sunday evening.
They're losing out on business by shutting so early,,very strange!
Or hit the Chineese on the Mulsanne for your Sunday meal - this is a very good tip if your meat supply has been sat in the boot of a Triumph Spitfire for 5 days... We cooked it. One of us was even brave enough to taste it. He didn't seem to enjoy the experience. One of us got take ut from the Chineese.

That's why the handy Houx power points are vital for the Fridge!

Or go to the Super U each day for fresh meat, bread and a couple of icebergs for the beer
