Hi

While I noticed 99% of people were camping, I did see the odd caravan. Now if I bought camping passes, could I take a caravan to next years le mans? Would I have to pay any extra? and also, can I use any campsite or is it only specific campsites that allow caravans?

Many Thanks
James

lol i dont think so. Im just disabled, and Id find caravaning much easier than setting up tents and crawling around everywhere. Also in a caravan, Its more comfy and I could possibly take a friend.

I thought they were banned?, and with campfire material running short for the last few years you might get some speeding tickets on the way home

Come to think of it, there was a caravan in Expo rouge car park this year. Thats the closest parking to the front entrance? Does that help ? Seem to remember they dont like caravans in the reserved parking but maybe its not enforced ?

haha never any offence taken mate dont worry

I can see how it would look - old volvo estate, and caravan the bad bit being, im only 22!! Old before my time or what!

- but on a serious note, it would make life much easier for me. I hope taking a caravan isnt too much of a problem.

Plenty of surface area for some serious sticker-action tho! Start planning now!

Would have thought that a call to the ACO would be in order but don't see why you can't do it as there are all sorts of motorhomes about the place on all the different sites i went to.

Might also be worth having a word with your local TRVCC to see if you can join and get in on their Haox boclk booking which I would have thought would be the best site for you when it comes to getting to and from the track and you should also be able to sort out some power.

Also, as im disabled, i cant ride anything with 2 wheels like these mini motorbikes people were getting around on.

I was thinking of a quad bike to get around with next year. Would i be able to get into the circuit on a quad bike or would i be turned away?

I know people took the mini motor things through, could i take a quad?

I'm sure there will be no problem with a caravan in Maison Blanche. My dads party had an 8 sleeper motor home this year.

I was thinking more along the lines of Camping Houx as there is electric there.

Also generally whats the earliest you can roll up at the campsite for a good pitch? We made a bit of a mess of it this year and got there VERY late thursday night and just about found a spare bit of grass.

Could i arrive on monday or is that too early?

Houx has allocated pitches as far as I am aware so not a problem whenever you roll up - note this is Houx itself and NOT Houx Annexe which is your basic free for all campsite.

I got confused with "camping houx" and "houx annexe" when booking for this year.

had a great time all the same
