Thanks but that was not the one I was thinking of - think it was a 'Occada' or something like that; looks very different and much bigger.

Nice, although rather expensive for what I want to use it for. Mind you I could always find space for another gadget!
The one I am thinking of looked very similar to this but was slightly bigger:

My mate bought one of the French pop-up tents from the Decathlon store at the Lakeside shopping centre. Millets also do a cheapo replica (which doesn't look like it has the extra opening side vents).
Yep - Decathlon is the place to go if/when you're in France. Bought my "2 second Air" for Le Mans for the princely sum of 49€. One word of advice - practice packing your tent away again before using it in anger. Last year a buddy got so frustrated trying to fold his up that ended up giving it away (the plonker).
Can't see if this english site gives you any info. coz of the webnazi shopping filter: www.decathlon.com/
One of the lads in our group had a pop-up tent this year. Looks OK if you like sleeping in the foetal position, leave all your luggage in the car and are happy to crawl out on all fours.
Personally I'm happy with my "4 berth" Vango which just sleeps 2 and has plenty of space for chairs, radios, MASSIVE airbed, car cover and bog-roll supply!
Also, cracking one off without anyone knowing is nigh on impossible, as Kev now knows!

Pretty cool ... I burnt my tent before I left LM this year as it was past it's best and I didn't want the pikeys to use it as their new house.
May have to invest in one of these - be great to just pop it open whilst all my mates are messing around putting up their tents
Edited to add - but saying that, I'd quite like a tent big enough to do more than just lie down in!

No probs I found the one I was thinking of and they do a three man for £54, should fit in the back of the TVR very nicely!!

Maybe a Khyam? I've had one for years - takes about 60 seconds to put up and take down. Brilliant! Check out:

Your best bet is take atrip to France, and find a Decathalon.
They are selling the same tents for 39 euro's.
Yes, 39 euro's

I checked these out in Decathlon in Lakeside. When folded up they are HUGE- about 1.5m diameter hula hoop size; otherwise I would have bought one
Surely if you are not on a motorbike they can't be that much of a problem... the 2 berth ones fold up quite small IIRC
Well I bought one in France, the ‘2 second Air’, cost 49 Euros and is perfectly adequate for two people for one or two nights camping and it fits in the boot of a Chim as well....result!!
Literally takes 2 seconds to put up and about 40 sec to put away again (once you get the knack), excluding pegging it down.
