Radio Headphones for Le Mans

Hi all,
I'm needing to purchase a decent set of headphones for use in Le Mans for the coming years
as a present. Has anybody got any recommendations?
I've seen HRX52A-01347-BD-GV Peltor Racetunes ones but seem to have had bad reviews on sites I've visited.
This is a one off pressie so quality is paramount rather than price.
Any help appreciated

I'd go with:
1x cheap AM/FM radio from Careforre (doesn't matter if it gets lost/forgotten/beer split on or, as happened once dropped in the paddling pool).
1 pair Shure earbud headphones (a-la www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=6&products_id=223)

None of the trick noise cancelling electronics, just so many different covers you can get a really comfortable, really snug fit in your ear. Sound quality for music is top notch too, with sound for you and silence for the person sat next to you.

PHer Jason Vaughan (hangs out on the TVR forums) was involved with Radio Le Mans this year, in particular the boys and girls selling the 5 euro radios. I turned up with an all singing and dancing headphone/radio set which was crap compared to these little cheap ones (sold the good ones on eBay for 3 times what I paid for it, so not all bad ). Search for his profile, he may have a load left over?

I just found the fancy headphones (OK, they werent an expensive set anyway) just wouldnt go loud enough to drown out the cars, so OI couldnt see the point of having them (couldnt even sleep in them as they where a) too bulky and b) I passed out through alcohol without the need for them

Do you polish it every day? .

No longer have the 2 Vodaphone headphones tho J. Sold um on ebay for £30 each Got any more I can have cheap?
