I've been trying to book a ferry for 14th - 18th June next year, so far they all say fully booked any ideas?

Should be this weekend as it's the 24th w/e of the year.

Can't believe the ferries are full already, suspect they just havn't released them yet. Have you been trying to book on line or via the call centre ?

You mean like this year which (assuming my maths is right) was the 25th weekend of the year? You might be right but for me it's a bit early to bet a ferry crossing on it!

I'd imagine your right re the ferry crossings though, it's probably too early for the dates to have been released.

Just to be totally pedantic in an effort to save face, I'll say it was the 24th Saturday in the year which is when the race starts

I will however, be waiting for ACO confirmation ( never have trusted them !!)

Going on previous year's, the ACO won't 'formally confirm' until around November/December.

Some car clubs though seemed to have had an 'advance date conformation ' nod by October...

I used the Newhaven Dieppe ferry this year. With experience on my side, as they dont open their books, or even know the prices until Feb/March, Im not going to spend another Winter/Xmas/New Year panicking and checking their website every 48 hours like I did this year. All will be calm in the FUBAR household for another few months

No more Speedferries for us

-consistently delayed- last year 2.5 hours for a 21:00 crossing= knackered for first day of le mans
-takes too long to board and get off
-they always put me right at the top in the corkscrew at the end mad
-this year they CANCELLED our crossing on the day we were due to go and only offered to rearrange us onto another carrier because we were in a group and made a fuss, everyone else got a refund and no more.

You get what you pay for (although I think Le Tunnel was a mess this year for those heading back??)

to date, we have never had a problem with Speedferries ... excellent service.

if you wish to experience the pits of all ferry services, try sailing to the Isle of Man !

Won't have a word said against speed ferries - I cocked up our booking last year, accidently made it a month early only found out on the day i should have travelled on but they switched the booking at no extra cost. What top people, will be doing everything I can to push as much buisness thier way as long as I live.

Did this last year for the TT practice week, what a joy! Managed to get myself a cabin though so at least I had somewhere to rest my head for 4 hours. Taking the Vette over again next year for the Centenary but staying for race week aswell - which gives me 3 days rest before heading to Le Mans. Roll on June 2007!!
