wondered what cars people were taking and how ready they are if you are working on them?

I used to be into building Kit Cars, the dead line was to take them to LM.
Most of the time we finished, or at least had them road legal the day before the ferry.
On one occasion we turned the engine over for the first time just before we were due to leave for the ferry, fortunately we still had the V5 and tax disk from the donor vehicle!
Somehow we got there and back with out a breakdown

So what are you driving to LM next year then?
1985 944 Turbo for me, 2nd trip in 944s previously 2.5 Lux.
Does anyone know where I can get the little driver name tags with the flag indicating driver nationality. My girlfriend is coming this year I just want to have a little something on the car to welcome her aboard for her 1st Le Mans trip!!!

I used them this year, and they were great!
Actually, having done the last two in a tent (a bloody small one at that!)......
I am actually looking forward to a comfortable bed, cold beers, shower on demand, proper cooker for the bacon sarnies and a bloody great Rangey for carting the boys about in.
Took the Cerbera before, and apart from Friday morning at Indianapolis it sat on Maison Blanche for a week!
