Hi everyone. Been to le mans for the last 2 years, both times being camped in the Beaujour campsite (near the Porsche cureves). Its been great, but really want to try and get somewhere more central for 2007. Am a member of the ACO and they are saying that cos we are taking a camper van we automatically get put in this campsite. Do pistonheads do a group booking at a more central campsite, or does anyone know how I can get booked into another campsite? Each year i've requested a more cental location, but with no luck. Any help/suggestions will be muchos appreciated.

Hopefully meet a few of you down there this (next) year. By chance we followed a blue vx220 with PH stickers on it both years on the way down from calais, but never got to meet the owners

We stayed in Houx Annexe last year and there was certainly quite a few large motorhome time jobs in there. People on PH book via all sorts of different avenues and stay all over so not one definitive answer. I booked under recomendation via Team Langoustine and they were very good. Another option I would have thought is to keep schtum about what vehicle you are taking, as long as you have the sticker then you will get in. Houx is better still with electrical hookups etc, harder to get hold of but again I know of at least one group who stay in there and take a motorhome so don't really see the problem.

We as in the "Race,What race" group have been in Houx for the last 3 years and last year with a motorhome

In Houx your assigned your own plot unlike Annex where your just find a space.

Unless you can guarantee a couple of spots together at Houx you might struggle to get a motorhome onto a single plot.

I wouldn't tell the ACO what you are taking but I'd imagine the way things look this year tickets for MB and even potentially Bleu (nord & sud) are going to be hard to come by especially if you need more than one allocation of space so you might just be better off taking the BSJ tickets at the moment and seeing how things pan out with the other sites.

Bleu Nord is (I'm told) OK, more central than BSJ and probably easier to get tickets for than MB, although I've seen reference to Bleu being "zoned" this year as well which might make it tricker to pick up tickets.
