What reminds you of LM 2006?
Discussion
In these dark months while those true enthusiasts amongst us are quietly wishing many months of their lives away, it can't hust to remind oneself of Le Mans.
So, a questions, what reminds you of your 2006 LM trip, or what summed the whole experience up for you? Is there one little thing that you can think of now that will rase a smile and have you yearning for a few glorious days in June?
For me it has to be having the Arctic Monkeys 'I bet you look good on the dancefloor' belting out as I hoofed it out of service station south of London to be met by a huge convoy of Elises led by a Purple Sagaris. All very overexcited and a feeling of well being rushed over me as I kept the throttle pinned.
When i'm having a crap day, I just put the Arctic Monkeys on and all is well with the world.

Funny really but whenever I see two sports cars in a row on the motorway my mind drifts to memories of Le Man!!!
Yesterday on the M25 a Porsche and a Corvette passed us by, maybe they've never known much about Le Man, they probably didn't even know one another but I like to think they're part of our yearly weekend of madness in France!!!

For me its the two pictures all ready sent, myself trying to stand up, a good friend running around the camp site with nothing on but a bad head looking for he's tent and also a certain person shouting agh aghhhh agh aghhh trying to find the exit of the tent but didnt make it !!!!!!!
Tonking down the new, completely empty, road to Le Mans.
On the way down in the peeing down with rain, all the damned way. The drive was bloody hard work but 3 Griffiths in formation is a terrific sight in any weather.
And on the way back, roofs down in glorious sunshine. Acting as tail-gunner for a Cerb and 3 Griffs - with a quick sprint all the way to 140mph (apparently, because I stopped looking at the clocks at 125!)
Other memories...
One step forwards and two backwards after the Friday night trip into town.
The noise - nobody would every believe you.
Watching racing in the dark.
Eating slop. Oh, and being staggered when someone went off for camp food and came back with a single watermelon!
Friends, that I know bugger all about but would do anything for.

The sound of the Japanese Carbon bodied Mucie screaming passed was an incredible thing to behold.
Burnie do-nutting at Houx on the Friday evening as absolutely menthol too, until it let go!
I also observe Audi TDi's and wonder how on earth Audi made such a fast car so quiet and more so, I wonder WHY????
