Can't stand the guy, but he's a good driver and will bring back other F1 drivers with any luck, Le Mans is starting a new era, let's hope it'll be like the old days...

Don't hold out any hope for Schumi, he's been there, done that and said he'd never do it again.....

Jacques Fcensoredking Villeneuve?!

He's not French, he's not a good driver, he's not a Gitanes smoking trade-unionist, why the fcensoredk have Peugeot signed him up?!

Surely this can only be good for the race though? Being well into motorsport and a regular over the last few years at Le Mans it's definitely something special......but not massively available to Joe Public. Having an ex-F1 driver and former Indy 500 winner, Champ Car champion at a wheel certainly ups the publicity. Maybe instead of Motors TV having 24 hour coverage one of the mainstream channels may take an interest aswell.

Not a big fan of his but...an ex-F1 World Champ and former Indy 500 winner, Champ Car champion...he can't be that bad then!

May bring more mainstream publicity to LM so can't be a bad thing

F1 drivers have an excellent history at Le mans... they may be sprinters but they are head and shoulders above a lot of the regular endurance racers... Anything out of the ordinary happens, you need an F1 driver to liven it all up...

Anyone remember JJ Lehto in 1995 in the McLaren F1 GTR, the team nearly dropped him for driving the car too fast and threatening the gearbox and wishbones.... They went with the gamble and it paid off, I still remember watching him driving in turrential rain at 2am down the Mulsanne, the only driver to be flat out lapping 28 seconds faster than anyone else.... He one that race for that team during the night stints... And who was the only one likely to catch the car in the morning?? Mario Andretti, oh another F1 driver...

Some of the best 24 hour racers have been past, present and future F1 drivers....
