Depends who provides your breakdown cover, but most don't repair anything on site in France. You will get a tow to the nearest garage who will do any work for you. Depends on your cover but you will often have to pay and claim the money back. Nord Auto, Euro Pneu, Speedy are 3 examples of the French "Vite Fit" equivelants. Most "Garages Tout Marque" will try to help but are unlikely to carry exotic tyres! If your cover includes a replacement vehicle, you may have to leave poor Lotus with them and use whatever your given instead until they get the tyre. Take a spare if you think it will be an issue. Tyre = Pneu btw.
Luckily the Vette has some space saver affair under the back end so should be ok. I'm assuming that the Lotus has space and weight as a premium so doesn't carry a spare - so have you a support wagon? May be an idea to get a spare before hand and get it carried down for you.
The 10 litres of Valvoline which I got through last year will be carried down for me this time round. I want to be able to see the Gendarmes trying to pull me over this year instead of nearly running them off the road!

Buy a DIY puncture plug set-up. Very easy to use, just a bit of brute-force and you're away. Not the ideal solution (very few quick-fit type places use it anymore) but it will do the job, saves the wait for recovery and takes up very little space.
Good idea - I used one on a two-week old rear bike tyre once, and got another 4000 miles out of it - Result!
There's a website that will give you your nearest franchise or you can DIY it. Its around £70 but depends on tyre sizes. Im running it in the Lotus, XJS @XJ40. so far so good. I used a guy that I met doing a demo at the Knebworth show, he's based in Hemel Hempsted. Hope you get sorted, I'm running mine to Andora in August, (with no spare).
