I got a letter from the ACO on the 1st August '06 acknowledging reciept of my request for reservation saying that booking was on a first come first served basis by the end of the year. They would then send me an allocation letter. To date I have not recieved anything. Should I be worried?

Received my allocation letter today. Reserved Houx Annexe tickets on the Wednesday before the race last year. Been told today that I am on a reserve list. When are these muppets going to have a on-line booking facility that acually operates a "first come first served" policy? I guess it is back to ebay.

My Dad has had the same problem. He sent the Frogs an email asking him about his allocation, on which he included his name and address and so forth. They sent him an email back asking for his name and address!

Wankers.

Shouldn't have worried. The ticket allocations came through this morning. Didn't get the MB I asked for but got Bleu Nord over the road.

Hmmm, not sure what to think about getting Bleu as I've not camped there before. When driving past it always looks like bit of a car park. Any thoughts on what it's really like?

I was in Bleu Nord last year - pretty awful to be honest. Very little shade, unless you're there very early, same goes for the loos and quite a walk to the track. And I'm in there again this year - not chuffed.

What I don't understand is the ACO say they use a first come first served allocation basis and every year I book my tickets direct with them on the Weds/ Thurs before the race but I never get the tickets I ask for.

We got Blu Nord after stating last site we wanted was Blu Nord and we booked at the race last year.

they are the worst.

Blu Nord looked Orrible back to ebay to push up the prices.

No smug answers from people who already have tickets.Complaining about people buying over priced tickets off fleaBay until ACO sort out the booking system and keep giving the wrong allocation, we will have to buy at high inflated prices.

Yeah, I'm not chuffed either. We requested 2 lots of 6 Bleu Sud. The first allocation letter came and said we had 2 Bleu Nord, but at least the second said 6 Bleu Nord. So we got 8 of the 12 we requested, but all for Bleu Nordshoot! I suppose we can be thankfull that they are all together!rolleyes

Very few people seem to have got Bleu Sud. D'ya thinkthere are more groups in there this year, like the Caterham lot last year?

As for Bleu looking like a car park - that's 'cos it is! The campsite is behind it!smash

If you want to improve your lot, give Team Lang a buzz cause I know they still have places in a private area at Musee. This is next door to Houx Annexe. Some of my crowd are in there.
It's £85 a pitch tho, but worth it I think.

Fax is fine. For belt and braces, phone them up to make sure they've got it!!

I'm in the allocation queue but haven't heard from ACO yet. I think I was pretty far down the queue though!

Got my allocation last week - applied for Houx or Beausejour, got Beausejour as I expected. When I phoned about a month ago they said that as I didn't apply until September my allocation had not been made. Booking has been returned so now it is the wait for the tickets to arrive.

Had a letter saying

We acknowledge receipt of your request for reservations for the 2007 le mans

As we are not in a position to process the bookings at the moment, we are unable to confirm your reservation which will be registered by arrival date at the end of the year. The reception of an invoice within a few months will validate your booking.

Is this a general letter or is it something that should concern me a little? I sent my application in early Jan.

This January? What did you apply for? What they mean is that they are still working their way through the applications put in earlier in the week. From the post above it sounds like they have probably got to September/October so I'd imaging yours won't be far behind.

BUT almost certainly they will only have sites like BSJ left so if you looking for BSJ you'll be fine. If you wanted MB, Houx etc. you've got no chance!
