Alternative route to Le Mans
Discussion
The last visits to the 24Hrs have always involved a high speed blat to the circuit via the usual route,(motorway to Rouen etc) finishing with the last bit on the N138.
Whilst I appreciate it's good to get there as fast as humanly possible without incurring the wrath of Les Flics, I'd like to try a more sedate route and enjoy a bit of the "real" France.
I'll be on Navigator duties in a Caterham this year, and I'd like a few hints and tips on a nice non Motorway route to the race.
All ideas gratefully received.
TIA,
Simon.

Try the coast road down towards le-havre and Caen and then shoot down towards Hon Fleur. We've done it for the last few years, the benefits are No Plod till you get within about 30 miles of Le-mans and some spectacular scenary on route. Sorry can't remember the road names, I'm normally to busy chasing a Ferrari or something to be paying attention!
