Le Mans 2007

It's only February but I already have that feeling of anticipation for June: got my Eurotunnel set up, my hotel in Le Mans, my parking at Garage Blanc and my seat in Maison Blanc for the whole 24 hours and more, all as usual. I guess there's another 500+ people out there feeling they cannot wait as well! My first trip was in 1996 and I've been there nearly every year since, and on the couple of times I've not been able to make it I've lived with the online experience (excellent in its self). I still wish Toyota won just once! 2007 will be open I think with the Peskys giving the Audis a run for their money. Peugot may be looking to 2008 for a result.

I'll be travelling with my Jaguar S-Type as usual; not special, I know, but 4.2L makes a good blast and it's good motor to sleep in on Saturday night. The N138 is the route of choice although this year I think I may use the new autoroute as I'll be pushed for time. I used it in 2006 when I went to Le Mans Classic..boring but SOOOO fast: 2 1/2 hours overnight from Calais, speeding ticket free. Not to be repeated on my trip this year, I think!
