Half way hotel

We are leaving on the Wednesday night and want to stay over en route. Originally thought about Rouen but we are thinking that is probably too far after a day at work - plus we want to arrive before closing time! Can anyone recommend anywhere between Calais and Rouen?
Could go via Paris?
Although now the motorway's open all the way from Rouen (if that's your preference), the Paris diversion seems less viable than it was previously I guess.
The best hotels in France - in my book anyway - are the individually owned group Logis de France which are all about 2/3 star hotels. The rooms are simple and clean and the food normally out of this world at a very reasonable price. Go here to help you find one:-

If you click on maps and go further you'll end up here:-

This shows the exact position of each hotel for you to help you decide
Best of luck

Even with the new road Rouen is a nighmare as you still have to do the "station yard" section.
It's worth giving some serious thought to which side of Rouen you want to stop. Personally if you're likely to get there at 10 or 11pm I'd go through it at night and stop afterwards rather than having to go through it at rush hour the next morning. You'll potentially save a lot of time.

We do overnight mate. It's not too bad. We did the 10pm ferry last year and after some of the convoy getting lost, arrived at Le Mans at about 0500. Just take it steady, lots of coffee and several rest stops and you'll be fine.
I can highly recommend this place, the La Corniche de Rolleboise where around 40 of us stayed last year on the way down (Thursday night). The main building was lovely and the restaurant had a fantastic view down onto the Sienne.
The evening meal was pretty good too, not as good as we'd have expected given the surroundings, but we paid something £115 for the meal (including wine), bed and breakfast, so you can't complain.
This year we're staying there on the Sunday night on the way home.
