Give Team Langoustine a ring. They sorted us out. Good bunch of guys and they know their stuff.

Not sure the address, but they advertise on this forum, so not hard to find. I know they have got lots of grandstands left as I bought mine off them this morning.

Packages from a number of people and some only asking c. £100 deposit however if you want a cheap student deal best to book things separately - trouble is by April choice of ferries etc more limited. May be worth you posting on PH's as WANTED - quite a few guys on here go down solo or just two in a 4 seater - 111KAB
Being a fellow student I would also recommend booking it all separately. All you need is campsite (1 per car), entrance ticket (1 pp) and ferry. The first two you can get straight from the ACO (Beausejour campsite should still be available) and shouldn't have any probs. You might have to do a bit of shopping around for the ferry to see if there is any space on LM week but you might strike lucky. And don't forget to check the chunnel.
I've booked all mine this year through 1st Tickets (and am a student). Whoever it is I talk to on the phone is a good bloke, and even remembers my name. It's also pretty reasonable prices, and we got 1 camping pass and 2 general admission passes for £81 each. Although this is for the campsite Expo, which I believe is not the most desired campsite, but who gives a monkeys, were students. I think this and BJ are the only campsites left available. Your then free to book your own ferry, which you want to book as quick as possible as the longer you leave it the more expensive it gets.
I would recommend 1st Tickets though.

Been going to LM for since 1996. I'm too old to camp (although it is really the only way to go judging by what I've seen and read about!), so I have always bought a four day package, down early Friday, back Monday, always using Le Shuttle. I've used Page & Moy and, more often, Motor Racing International. I think P&M are a bit cheaper, whereas MRI's package is more comprehensive, with their hospitality package of marquee/closed circuit tv, great loos (essential for us older LMers!), and available food and beer, all of which is an excellent base, especially in poor weather. Problem is, it's not a cheap package from either company. This year I've booked up with MRI for 2 of us and it will be about £425 each. This is for the crossing, single rooms in an hotel for three nights (although we always sleep in the car on the Saturday night), parking at Parking Blanc, general entrance ticket and a seat in Maison Blanche grandstand, the best grandstand IMHO, and the MRI hospitality. Then you need to finance gas, food, beer etc. So, yer pays yer money and takes yer choice!
If you really want to do it on the cheap, find a coach to Paris, catch the TGV to LM then the bus to the circuit. Or you may be able to get cheap student tickets and do the whole lot by train. Bring a sleeping bag and a bivvie, get a general entrance ticket and kip by the side of the circuit. It's kn*ckering but quite possible.

It's definitely possible to do it on the cheap, it's one of the cheapest and best holidays imaginable. Get a camping ticket on Beausejour (probably only site left now) either direct from the ACO (as already mentioned) or from an agent. I think that the ACO will still have tickets left in April. To be safe you could get from an agent. You will obviously pay a little more but perhaps only a deposit just now? 1st-tickets.co.uk and racetours.co.uk are the cheapest. Booked a single camping pass the last 2 years and we just bought our entry tickets on the gate. Remember, once you are there a crate of beer only costs 7 Euros from the Carrefour, wahey

thanks all looking in to as i speak looking promise is anyone taking a late chunnel down on the monday night
Do you mean on the way home? or the late chunnel down (to france) on the monday night? Monday is very early in the week to be going to Le Mans if thats the case.
I would be surprised if you can still get a good deal, even the TVR club seem to have sold out.Really you need to think about booking before xmas.I recommend booking with an agent who actually will be at Leman, then if you are new to it they will be able to help you sort your weekend,ie going to the bend on fri am and getting into town for friday evening. We missed so much the first few years, but now have it down to a fine art even when full of kronenburg.Team Langoustine advertise in the TVR mag, check them out.

there's a guy coming from Canada who's doing it this way. I've done it before and it's great. Take the bus out to Mulsanne Corner for the night-time and you'll find you can pitch a small tent and nobody seems to ask any questions! It's a great place to be too. You could also look at the Spay campsite (which is private). I know that Piglet has used it.

Hello Trevor
Spay is a good municipal campsite. I've not used it for the race weekend but Happy Snapper stayed there for the Moto24 last year and for the LM24 pre-qual weekend and stayed out there until MB opened the Monday of the race week. It's a nice campsite with good clean facilities.
I would have thought it's not ideal for a bunch of students who would probably want to be a bit closer to the action.
Personally I'd buy BSJ & GA tickets from the ACO now, I object strongly to paying an agent for something that I can very easily buy myself but perhaps I'm just tight!
If you're prepared to be a bit brave, don't buy any camping ticket now but watch the forums in the week leading up to the race, there are usually "good" tickets that come up last minute where people just need to offload them. BUT if you're planning to leave the Monday before you might find that you're too early for the bargains.
Life is a bit easier with a car unless you're teaming up with people with transport, especially if you're going to be there from early in the week, it is do-able but it will be much easier in 2008 when the tramlink is up and running.
