Hotel on Mulsanne Straight
Discussion
Scott, just to let you know that you won't be able to get into the Arbor this year without either a Bonne Route or AMOC windscreen sticker - the Hotel has been exclusively reserved and there will be security guards on duty.
And it's fully booked for this year - please contact me if you would like to reserve a room for next year - it's already 1/4 full!

Jo,
Many thanks for the info. Interesting site you have, I may give you a call sometime in the future as your packages look excellent With regards the hotel Abor, no problem if it's all booked up, however, I have some friends from Gaydon working in the area over the weekend so may still take a look on Sunday morning. Are you visiting LM? will you be basing yourselves at the hotel?
Not too long now!
Brgds,
Scott

The Hotel Arbor, or as Chris Rea called it on his album, l'Auberge, is of course on the main Hunaudieres (just to get it right, it ain't the Mulsanne) straight. Now getting there on the Sunday morning means you can't just drive down the Route Nationale and turn in! You will have to go to Ruaudin then take the road marked Mulsanne and before you get to Mulsanne there is a turning on the right marked Hotel Arbor. However, there is a barrier and marshals and you'll need a proper pass (normally restricted to those who live down that road and hotel residents) to get to the hotel. Before you even think too much about it talk to your friends and get it sorted since otherwise you'll have no chance of getting there. That road comes out on the Hunaudieres straight which is why it is strictly controlled.

Two superior rooms have views over the Mulsanne Straight

How much?
This years price for those rooms was £625.00 pp. A bargain price for probably the best two rooms on the whole circuit! We have reserved the whole Hotel for 2008, and are taking reservations already - the Hotel is now 1/4 full!

Whats your mark up like? I bet its something crazy, a little old women who owns the place probably charges €65 for the weekend

If only you knew how little mark-up there is
- it is the only time the Hotels in the Sarthe region get to earn a decent income during the year. And yup, those rooms have gone already.....
I really like the idea of the rooms looking out on to the track, but I can't help feeling that much as i'd love to stay there that i'd rather be out there in the thick of things watching it happen rather than hanging out of my window observing
hey ho. perhaps for when i'm too old to stay up all night!
