myself and six chaps* are off to Le Mans this year and for the first time, we've decided to go with an organised team and this happens to be Team Langoustine!

so, anyone else here on PH going with these lot? is there a convoy to be had perhaps?

has anyone gone previously with Team L? was it any good? they seem to be very professional and the setup (marquee, cordoned area, fridges etc) seems to be very good but i'd welcome any input from anyone whose previously been

how does Team L compare with the like of speed chills etc? same thing? or markedly different?

thanks!

Went with TL last year and didn't see them once!! We rolled up on HA sometime Wednesday and just pitched up within view of the showers whilst it lashed it down. It wasn't until sometime on Saturday that we saw a few TL flags and realised they were pitched up in the second field.

We'd got ice boxes, bbq's and a gazebo anyway so didn't miss them - no offence Andy. The only reason we didn't go with them this year was to try a different campsite.

They are a no frills bunch, not corporate at all.
They bring Marquee, big screen, beer, power, music, BBQ's, fast cars and are there to enjoy themselves. If you want to belong to a crowd, they always make you feel welcome.
They were in the second field in the annexe last year and the year before, so expect them to be there again in June. Can't miss them, they will have a big black prawn (not right really) on their marquee.
Also looks like a reasonable convoy growing from the 7am Dover Boulogne boat. We'll be on it.
Roll on June.

If you want to hook up with convoys I have several organised with the White Rabbit sqaud. You can see who is going when at www.onlymotorsport.co.uk.

I've booked a spot with TL this year, never been with them before but from your description it sounds like it should be great.
I'm on the Wednesday 7am speedferry and staying at Houx Annexe.

Can hardly wait! thumbup

basically, it seems that they (TL) are providing shelter, means of cooking and means of not getting off ones arse and going to the track (TV) - perfect!

We go with Team Lang every year. They are hard core Lemanners, and there is a main group of blokes who are Team Langoustine, with 2 guys that organise the tickets etc, they do not offer corparate facilities but welcome people over for a chat, beer etc,in fact its hard to get away cos they just talk cars and Leman.Last year they had a projector for the sport and satellite etc and that was a big do.every one was welcome if you had one of their current T shirts,we all got very pissed. They sort you if you are new and point you in the right direction and tell you where and when to be some where,ie The Town on fri eve and buses etc. Some of them have been going for nearly 20 years so they have it sussed.Dont expect to go and park your arse in their gazebo for 4 days cos they are not there to cater for everyone, but are very friendly lads.

From what I remember last year, there was a big white box full of iced beer and anyone with a TL shirt on could help themselves with a strict understanding that they buy a couple of boxes of stubbies next time they were in carrefour and keep the stocks up.
It seemed to work well. Not so much a 'free for all', but a 'welcome to join in'.
No satelite this year tho. I think that might have been for the footy fans.
