A Worthy Case for Helping Someone Get To Le Mans
Discussion
Ladies and Gents,
I posted the following on the East Anglia forum, and although the request for help was aimed initially at the East Anglia crowd (its obvious why when you read on)the request for help could equally apply to all, so the suggestion was made to popst here too, so please read and, if anyone can help, then please get in touch; here's the link and the text.

From the other forum that I frequent over on Club Arnage, a sad tale of James and his brother (aged 17 and 14) whose Dad, having great foresight, has taken them both to Le Mans for the last 6 years. This year would have been the seventh, but for the fact that James' Dad died earlier this year from prostate cancer. He is really keen for them both to go this year as a tribute to his Dad, but nobody in the family can take him. His Mum has Ok'ed his post on Club Arnage as well, which is looking for some good people to help him out in the quest to get to Le Mans. The request is genuine and I have PM'd James, who has given me all his various details and that his Mum is OK with the scheme and would like to speak to (and meet if possible) anyone who can help (as would anyone probably wish to talk to her too!).
I thought that there may be some of you on this forum who might be able to help. As you can see from the link - www.clubarnage.com/forum/index.php - and the subsequent chatter, a cobbled together solution could be achieved, but it is far from ideal.
Now, the main question for you good-minded, helpful PHers - he is located in Norwich, so can any of you who are planning to go to Le Mans this year help with the travel and/or camping arrangements?
All the best for now,
MG Mark

I hope someone can help these poor chaps, I know what it's like to be in their situation
unfortunately the best I can do is to say that if my friends car is not working/has given up the ghost (a 50/50) then he'll be taking his estate car and so could potentially transport them to lemons and back.. otherwise, pretty stuffed to help

Guys,
I don’t know if you have managed to get things sorted yet, but if not Mrs RR and I may be able to help.
We are taking the Tuscan and the Elise - travelling from Portsmouth early on Thu 14th, returning late on Mon 18th. Camping with TVRCC (have a spare pitch).
Not sure exactly how we would connect with Norwich (we're in Hampshire), but will be working in Ely a fair bit over the next 6 months so can probably figure something out …
Give me a shout if this is any use - we can discuss the rules and arrange to be vetted by your mum !
Cheers
Ian
