anybody on this crossing? i live in Exeter so seems pointless to drive to the east just to catch a ferry! were on the 11:30 from plymouth on the thursday night. hopefully not alone.

There's a whole posse that are going on Tuesaday night, and another couple who are going on your sailing possibly.

Takes about 4 hours to Le Mans on the other side.

Where are you staying?

We're all in MB.

were staying in bleu nord. driving down in my fiat coue 20vt. found google earth to be quite helpful! can see the whole route there. also got a tip off from a client who said to check viamichelin.com for udates on roadworks for that weekend. cant wait! are the roads as busy as traveling from the east side down? im guessing not?

Not sure about going down, but the roads were quiet heading back to Brittany last year on the Monday - can't imagine they get particularly busy though as the boat doesn't realy hold that many cars, and not many people live over that direction in France to casue a problem.

I came in to Roscoff last year (from Rosslare), and couldn't believe how empty the roads were - Like my own personal autoroute in places. Not too many gendarmes either...

Hope it's the same this year.
